For this vanilla bean body butter recipe you will need:

  • Emulsyfing wax – this will help our ingredients marry and blend together in a flawless mixture
  • Cocoa Butter – natural moisturiser, it will make body butter even better for your thirsty skin
  • Aloe Vera Gel – This will bring the soothing, healing property of the aloe vera plant to help heal your damaged skin cells
  • Almond Oil – is easily absorbed by your skin, leaving it softer and smoother
  • Vegetable Glycerine –to help hold our butter together and give it body.
  • Vanilla Fragrance Oil –for its sweet, cozy, comforting fragrance.
  • One Vanilla Bean – The seeds of the vanilla pod will add an extra punch to the heavenly scent.

Begin with a heat-proof bowl.  Place 3 spoons of emulsifying wax and 3 spoons of your cocoa butter beads to create our body butter base. Melt these together in the microwave , add  about half a cup of glycerine and  4 spoons of aloe vera gel.

Continue mixing until all the ingredients come together.

Add the Vanilla Fragrance oil and half a cup of almond oil.

Finally, split your vanilla bean length-wise to open the pod. With the knife you used to split the bean, carefully scrape the vanilla seeds from the pod and add it to your body butter.

When you’re finished, spoon your body butter into a clean container.
